A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
The second weekend in November was all about Oregon women’s athletics. We kicked off the party by celebrating Title IX’s 50th anniversary with our community of supporters at our Go Do Anything event. Legendary former student-athletes Sabrina Ionescu, Raevyn Rogers, Ronika Stone, and Haley (Cruse) Mitchell reflected back on their experiences at UO as the evening’s special guests. They were joined by Bev Smith (former UO women’s basketball player and coach and Executive Director of Kidsports), Janel Bergstrom Cook (first Director of Women In Flight), Nicole Commissiong (UO Title IX Coordinator), Karly Nowak (current Acrobatics & Tumbling student-athlete), Eleanor Papé (eight-year-old rockstar who loves Oregon women’s sports), and UO Athletic Director Rob Mullens.
A special thanks to our community members who joined us for the celebration! Flip through the photo gallery below to enjoy some key special moments.
WOMEN IN FLIGHT FOOTBALL GAME
The party continued at the Women In Flight-themed football game, where in-game programming was dedicated towards Oregon women’s athletic programs. From recognizing female student-athletes and coaches on field to t-shirt tosses led by Raevyn and Haley and program updates on the Go Do Anything campaign, the spotlight shined bright on the Women of Oregon.
