Gabi Lorenzo

Second-year master's student Gabi Lorenzo is working on a project through the UO Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance that has the potential to improve female athletes performance and footwear design.

Gabi Lorenzo, a second-year master’s student in Sports Product Design, is working on a project that leverages technology affiliated with the UO Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. Alongside her professor and Director of UO’s Sports Product Design Program, Susan Sokolowski, the pair are conducting research around a wearable sensor into a shoe with potential to prevent injury and improve performance.

Thanks to our partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Knight Campus, Women In Flight is honored to shine a spotlight on UO’s women scientists and their incredible research. As we celebrate the 50 year marker of Title IX on June 23rd, a law that empowers women in both STEM and athletics to Go Do Anything, we invite you to support our campaign in honor of women everywhere.
